Accessibility
In the context of a web site, accessibility refers to the degree that the site can be accessed by people with disabilities.
Aside from the commercial opportunities available to serving this audience, web designers are facing a moral and increasingly legal obligation to make web sites that can be used by visitors with accessibility needs, that use assistive technologies for browsers (like screen readers) or that have specific requirements of the page (like larger fonts).
Morello places no hurdles in the way of designers who want to develop accessible websites and we have numerous customers who have attained W3C accreditation through independent audits of their websites.
Morello goes further and encourages good practice in this area, providing tools that help the content contributor to create accessible pages. For example by mandating accessible content in images and tables, by mandating metadata and by automatically cleaning content items that are imported.
